Live the Change Challenge update #2

Update on my daily RAK challenge for Jane Goodall's Live the Change Challenge...

- assisted a lady in packing up a giant portable table and taking it to her car
- saved a bunch of boxes that were going to be thrown into the skip and will be putting them into my recycling bin at home or I'll take it to the waste transfer centre for recycling if I have time
- bought some donuts for a colleague that was having a hard week
- freecycled some folders and cd covers to some local freecyclers
- tried to assist a lady who had soiled herself at the train station
- left some free tickets to the affordable art show at flinders street station, hopefully someone finds them!
- wrote a friendly 'hello' message to my neighbour

btw, i didn't realise this but kell just pointed out to me that i nearly have 100 followers! i'm up to 99 :D and that she has had lots of traffic coming from my blog over to hers! what a lovely surprise! you guys should comment more so i know you're reading :p *waves*

Live the Change Challenge update #1

So...I started my daily RAK challenge for Jane Goodall's Live the Change Challenge and here are a few things I did...

- stayed back to help a colleague photocopy stuff
- overheard a colleague needed to print out some notices so i did them and gave it to him
- messaged some encouraging words and a photo to a friend in the morning, who is going through a hard time
- pinned some vouchers up on the community board with a little note 'feel free to help yourself to ones that suit you!'
- signed up to support of Elephabet wants to be an e-Book and Poster when it grows up! by Hilary Pfeiferon on kickstarter
- took some morning tea over to a colleague who was still hard at work during break time
- took a whole bunch of plastic bags that were going to be thrown in landfill from work to the local supermarket's plastic bag recycling bin
- donated 5 picture frames and a stack of cds to the op shop

boy was it busy on friday night! i went back at the end of saturday as i actually had time to process what i had seen there (while peeking through people and not being pushed) and had an afterthought for some pressie ideas! :)

i had also wanted to get some tighology tights but there were barely any left! bad for me, but it means great business so yay! i will have to track some down online...

i also went to the gorman garage sale. WOW! tanks & tees for $10, skirts for $30...i also got a dress for $30 and sandals for $20! plus miss lisa gorman herself was there at the end of the day. if i had been free, i might have taken up their offer 5 hours work = $200 voucher!

Favorite colour: I love the colours of the rainbow! However most favourite would have to be turquoise!

Favorite animal: Orangutan - such beautiful and intelligent creatures! Please say no to palm oil to save their habitat. I was lucky enough to see some in Borneo last year!

what fun the zine fair was! i shared a table with the very talented kelly zarb. it was lovely to chat to meet maude who i have done a mail swap with previously and also chat to lizzy about her feature in paper runway as she hadn't seen it and it just so happened i had my copy with me.

oh and i pretty much spent what i made on other people's zines! lol!
